It was always remain a sacred vow. And after October 7, never again is now

0:20

that was the voice of powerful words of a prime minister Bibi Netanyahu as he addressed a joint session of Congress yesterday, and welcome back to the morning answer. It's Thursday. I'm Jennifer horn. Grant Stinchfield and joining us right now is a man who was in the crowd at that speech yesterday. Our friend Congressman Mike Garcia was there he represents California's 27th congressional district. You can give him a follow at elect Mike Garcia. Help him out with his campaign elect Mike garcia.com. And guys, he's going to be on the main stage at townhall 2024. Get your tickets on September 15. At the universal Hilton am 870 dot info and 590 dot info. Congressman, good morning. Hey, good

1:05

morning, guys. How you doing?

1:06

How was the big speech yesterday? I saw I was I was hopeful that you were there. And then I saw your picture. And I absolutely loved it. He was incredible yesterday.

1:13

Yeah, he's, he's actually done some some help for me on our campaign side as well, doing zooms with local supporters. between his two terms. It was a fantastic opportunity to hear what a real leader sounds like, during, you know, his term in office leading a country in a wartime era. And, you know, the whole time I'm just sitting there going, man, imagine, imagine if our country had a chief executive that that had the courage to say what he said to take the policies on and lead like he is leading. And, you know, he did an excellent job of laying out what happened on October 7, he did an excellent job of praising his warriors that were there that had been wounded. One Ethiopian soldier who was a Jewish Ethiopian, who was part of the IDF ran eight miles to the frontline the morning of the attack, and with a rifle started to taken on these guys. So if you haven't heard it, folks need to really watch this speech. It's probably one of the best speeches I've ever heard, frankly. And I thought so

2:18

too. It was powerful and tough. And you know, I think we're so hungry for that. Because what we've gotten from our own leadership is so weak and flip floppy that it is so nice to hear someone who's just a strong leader, and he sounds confident that you listen

2:32

to me every day. What's the problem?

2:37

Congressman, the point was, he's a strong leader. And what we have representing us is just not and it was refreshing.

2:44

Yeah, and it was and you know, what it it gives clarity if there's anyone confused about what's going on in Israel right now, if you're doubting whether the Israelis are doing this, right, just go watch the speech, look at the data. And and, you know, the fact that that is followed by quote unquote, pro Palestinian protesters, who literally take down American flags, you know, half a mile away, burn them and start beating cops that are there with with actual pro Hamas flags is a stark contrast to what's going on. Like, there are some people who are pro Palestinian, I get that, but Hamas is a terrorist organization. And many of these protesters are not doing this with genuine intent to just get the peace of stability. They're doing it because they're actually anti Semite, or anti Zionist, and they don't want the nation of Israel to exist. So, but definitely a speech worth watching. If you haven't seen it. I

3:35

actually believe that 95% of the Palestinians support these terrorists and are terrorists themselves. So so I'm not sure on the support for Palestine? It just doesn't make any sense to me, but you saw them take to the streets. Jen, can you play for the Congressman that that cut about if you can tell which one it is the the tyrants of Tehran? And he talked about I think, well just play it the chickens for chickens. Yeah.

4:00

That's amazing. Absolutely amazing. Some of these protesters hold up signs proclaiming gays for Gaza. They might as well hold up signs saying chickens for KFC.

4:18

He's absolutely right about that.

4:19

He is talking about them hanging frames. Go ahead, Congressman.

4:23

Yeah, and you know, calling them useful idiots. It does back and back to the whole defund the police movement where the kids were out there. They didn't even know what they were doing or saying they were just funded by a massive organization to get this message out. And they were serving as the useful idiots for the far left anti in this case, anti Israel anti Zionist agenda out there, which was absolutely crazy, but refreshing to see leadership on a global stage and it was an honor to shake his hand and, you know, see him again. So we've got to help them we got to get him through this war. And that the bottom line is there's Security, you know, and peace is is paramount without them. There is no stability in the Middle East. We're not talking about peace in the Middle East. But stability in the Middle East is achievable only through a vibrant, thriving and secure Israel. So with that, that is an American national security interest. You

5:20

know, just switching gears a bit when we talked last time at congressman, which was last Thursday, you were in Milwaukee, it was the RNC I was giving you the news that Hulk Hogan was going to be there. I mean, all of this stuff unfolded. And then all of a sudden, lo and behold, a week later, we've got Joe Biden, who says he's not running for reelection. And we've got Kamala Harris, who has been coordinated by the party. What are your thoughts on this? What should President Trump's strategies be? What is our positioning I think, as a party, because we know Kamala Harris, we've known her for all the time. She's been here in California, I think she's completely transactional, and will sell anybody out for more power.

5:55

Yeah, and she's got a terrible track record. And there's a lot of data and receipts to prove that right. So look, the Democrat Party basically went went from the frying pan to the fire, in my opinion, that doesn't help them. I think they're trying to, you know, be have her be the sacrificial lamb at the altar, in this case, to filter her out going into 2028 and get a more viable candidate. Trump is very well positioned at the national level right now, especially in the swing states. Now, does this change the dynamic? Yes, there's a change of variables. Of course, when it comes to races like mine, you know, I am running to prevent the country from turning into what California has already become. And there's no greater personification of bad policies and damage to our state than Kamala Harris when she was the attorney general that led to the sanctuary state, like sanctuary cities, prop 47, was under her reign. So you know, these are all solid messages. She's she's got a lot of baggage. She's not she's not very intelligent. She's not very well spoken. But the reality is, is they're they're raising a lot of money. And she is more coherent, and probably a more viable candidates and Biden is, and we need to take it seriously. We can't just assume because she's been so terrible, for the last three and a half years that that's enough to beat her, we have to run our races. Run as if we're behind and raise money, but the boat out and make sure that the good guys are showing up before election day. All

7:25

right. So Jen told me I was not allowed to ask you this question. But I'm asking you that anyway. Was that the real Joe Biden last night?

7:39

Yeah, I don't know. To be honest, you know, I think he's gonna drop. If you had a stop point, he's gonna start dropping back here very soon as the kind of spiral exponentially and, you know, as a man in decay, and unfortunately, like I said, this has been the most egregious case of elderly abuse on the national stage for the last three and a half

8:01

years. Congressman, you've got to do me a favor, and you have to go online and look at the picture of the man in decay, who has actually grown a foot overnight. So one of the pictures that's making people crazy that it looks like he's, he's on stilts.

8:14

I haven't seen that. Look at it. But yeah, side effect. It would be laughable if we didn't still, you know, have him as president for the next six months. Well, we are very vulnerable the nation right now and the world is unstable because of this administration. So this is why Trump will win again and and we'll get the half house.

8:37

Well, we hope you're right. We can't We can't wait to talk to you.
